Provide assistance to District work groups for functional strategic initiatives. Provide assistance to Branch department managers in development and implementation of strategic initiatives such as Public Affairs Performance Scorecard and District Law Enforcement Training Initiative.

Responsible for membership recruitment and maintenance, coordination of two major community events, and managing the Visitor’s Center to include merchandise inventory control, greeting and taking care of visitors’ requests for information, and maintaining current information on the website. Membership increased by 21% during my tenure. The Annual 4th of July Festivities which included a parade, an arts & crafts show, and a major fireworks display, was reviewed by participants and visitors as the best event yet! Vendor participation increased considerably for both major events (Oktoberfest in the Pines being the second event). I also represented the community on the Regional Chambers of Commerce and the White Mountain Partnership, both of which are directed at increasing tourism and economic development of the White Mountains in AZ. Resigned due to relocation to San Antonio, TX.

Provide administrative and programmatic assistance to the Vice President. Conduct research and write grant proposals for fundraising efforts for the campus according to established priorities to both private foundations and corporations. Write on behalf of the President of the university. Coordinate strategic planning for the division. Plan special events such as the 40th Anniversary Celebration, 2005-06 (and associated fundraising efforts) of the campus. In IRT, I was the co-chair of a major national conference on information security for three years (planned, coordinated, and implemented the conference which was attended by 200-300 people annually); coordinated strategic planning for the division and the campus-wide development of a comprehensive strategic plan for technology; oversee the development of the division’s Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan; conduct research for and coordinate the writing of grant proposals for division directors, staff, and/or faculty interested in technology, library, and water resources issues; conduct contract negotiations between granting organizations (local, state, and federal) and the division; serve as the liaison between the Vice President and staff in the division as well as outside the division and the public (i.e., water agencies, other CSU campus staff, etc), manage public relations for the division; and coordinate/assist with special projects for the division as well as the University.
